In Syria, on the territory of a US military base located in the north of the province of Deir Ez-Zor, where a Russian general died yesterday, several rockets exploded. SANA agency reports.
According to the agency, the missile-bombed base is located in the Konoko oil field, which is controlled by American troops and Kurdish formations.
It is not yet known whether there have been casualties among the American military.
It is noted that this is the first case since 2015 of shelling of one of the US military installations in the provinces of Hasek, Raqqa and Deir Ez-Zor.
Recall, on August 18, in the area of the At-Time oil field, 15 km from the Syrian Deir Ez-Zor in Syria, an attack was made on the servicemen of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, as a result of which a high-ranking military man and five more people died: Major General of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Gladkikh, commander National Defense Deir Ez-Zorah Al-Meyadin Muhammad Taysar Az-Zahir and four of his subordinates. Three more Russian soldiers were wounded.
