Investigators handed the official an arrest warrant for the bombing after four hours of interrogation in the presence of his human rights activist.
The director-general of the port in Beirut Hassan Kreitem in which a powerful explosion thundered on August 4, was arrested. This was announced on Tuesday, August 18, by the LBCI TV channel.
It is noted that the investigators interrogated the detained official for more than four hours in the presence of his lawyer.
Also in connection with the explosion, an arrest warrant was handed over to the head of the Lebanese customs service, Badri Daher.
At the same time, the progress of the investigation into another 21 detainees in the case of the tragedy in Beirut is not reported.

It was also reported that the country suffered significant losses in the health sector.
