The US Department of Defense has decided to create a working group to investigate the occurrence of unidentified flying objects (UFOs). This was reported in a Pentagon statement.
“The Department of Defense is establishing a UFO working group to improve understanding and gain insight into the nature and origin of unidentified flying objects. The mission of the working group is to detect, analyze and catalog UFOs that have the potential to pose a threat to US national security,” the statement said. ...
The project will be overseen by US First Deputy Secretary of Defense David Norkvist.
In June, US President Donald Trump promised to consider removing the classified information from materials about unidentified flying objects and the so-called Roswell incident, which occurred on July 4, 1947.
In late April, the Pentagon released video footage of the US Navy, which, as noted in a press release, captured “aerial events” that were described as unidentified. This is footage captured by the crews of American combat aircraft in November 2004 and January 2015. As stated in the message, the videos hit the Internet back in 2007 and 2017, but then the Ministry of Defense did not give its permission to publish them, although the authenticity of the records of the US Navy was subsequently confirmed.
