Insurance companies tentatively estimate losses from the explosion in the port of Beirut at $3 billion. Governor of Beirut, Maron Abboud, said earlier that the reconstruction of the city would require from 12 to 15 billion dollars. The Lebanese Internal Security Administration said Wednesday that the explosion partially or completely destroyed about 4,000 buildings.
