The US eliminated the leader of a major terrorist organization

DNA tests and biometric research will be able to confirm the information.

The leader of the Islamic State (IS), Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, was allegedly killed during a US special operation in northwestern Syria. It is reported by CNN with reference to sources in the US Department of Defense.

According to representatives of the Ministry of Defense, Baghdadi could have died as a result of undermining a “suicide bomber” during a special operation by the US military on October 26.

Confirm information about the death of the leader of ISIS will be able to a DNA test and biometric research, according to the publication.

An operation in the province of Idlib in northwestern Syria was carried out by special forces. The Central Intelligence Agency helped establish the whereabouts of the IS leader.

Al-Baghdadi’s whereabouts were found out when he was trying to take his family from Idlib province towards the Turkish border, an Iraqi intelligence official said citing sources in Syria.

On the morning of October 27 in the White House announced the “important statement” of US President Donald Trump, without giving any details.

Trump himself on Twitter at night without clarifications and details wrote: “Something very serious has just happened!”

Earlier, the media had already repeatedly reported the death of al-Baghdadi, but there was no official confirmation of this information.

Earlier, we wrote that Khudayfa al-Badri, the son of the leader of the Islamic State terrorist group Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, was allegedly destroyed as a result of the Russian air forces in Syria.

It was also reported that al-Badri was eliminated during an operation by the Syrian government forces near Homs. The militants' TV channel showed an image of a young man with a gun, without giving details.
