The Israel Defense Forces on Wednesday struck three targets of the radical Hamas movement in the Gaza Strip in response to the launch of balloons with explosives into Israeli territory. The Times of Israel reported this with reference to the armed forces.
According to her, a military base, an underground structure, and a Hamas observation post were struck as a result of the strikes.
Earlier Tuesday, Israel decided to close, pending further notice, the Kerem Shalom cargo crossing on the Gaza Strip in retaliation for the launch of balloons with attached explosives into Israeli territory, which resumed after a long hiatus last week. As a result, several fires were recorded in Israel, no reports of victims were reported.
The Israeli Air Force has already hit Hamas targets in Gaza twice this month in response to the explosive balloons on August 6 and 9.
