The U.S. House of Representatives will reinstate witness hearings on the impeachment case for President Trump led by Democrats.
Philip Ricker, Acting Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs, will speak behind closed doors before House, Foreign Intelligence, and Observation Committees.
Ricker's testimony was postponed this week due to commemorative events commemorating the death of Elijah Cummings, chairman of the House’s Oversight Special Committee.
On Friday, October 25, District Judge Beryl Howell rejected the request for the impeachment process to be unlawful and decided that the Trump administration should pass on to the House Committee on the Judiciary the classified materials of the report of former Special Prosecutor Robert Muller on Russia's interference in the 2016 US elections.
