Activists hung red banners from the balconies on the Foreign Ministry building. One of them reads: вЂњBeirut is the capital of the revolutionвЂќ, on the other: вЂњBeirut is a city without weapons.вЂќ An attempt was also made to seize the headquarters of the Association of Lebanese Banks, but it was unsuccessful вЂ” the guards used tear gas grenades and drove away from the crowd.
