Abnormal heat in Europe: where it will be hottest

In Western Europe, where the cost of gas has soared because of the heat, the weather may set new air temperature records.

In particular, according to RTL radio, France will face tropical heat in the coming days, and more than 40 departments have already declared an increased level of danger.

The peak temperature — up to 42 degrees-will fall on the evening of Friday, August 7. At the same time, Paris and the Metropolitan region are forecast to reach 35 degrees.

The British were also urged to prepare — August 7 may become the hottest day not only this year but also in the history of meteorological observations, breaking last year's record. In particular, according to Sky News, more than 37 degrees are expected in London and the South-East of England.

But in Belgium, where the “orange” level of weather danger has been declared since yesterday, extreme heat will come over the weekend — on Saturday, places are expected to reach 37 degrees, La Libre reports. In some regions, the temperature may rise by 14 degrees above the average for August.

Up to 32 degrees on the weekend is expected in the Netherlands, as well as in Amsterdam, in particular.
