
An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.5 was recorded on Thursday off the coast of Peru. This was reported by the US Geological survey.
The epicenter of the tremors was located 221 km South-East of the city of IKI, where about 250 thousand people live. The hearth lay at a depth of 10 km.
There was no information about casualties or damage, and no tsunami threat was announced.
