In the capital of Lebanon, Beirut, two powerful explosions occurred near the port. This is reported by the Lebanese edition of the Daily Star.
According to the local portal Daily Star, the explosions occurred on August 4 in the seaport, near the naval base of the Lebanese Armed forces.
The incident could have happened in a warehouse where pyrotechnics were stored. Eyewitnesses took a video of the fire in the building before the explosion.

In social networks, videos of the incident and the large-scale destruction caused by it have already appeared. The footage shows a lot of damaged buildings-residential and office. The streets of the city are covered with ash.
