The North Atlantic Alliance has nothing to counter Russian superweapons in the Arctic. This is reported by the Danish newspaper Berlingske.
The publication explains that the region is completely defenseless against hypersonic missiles “Dagger”. “This is no longer pure fiction, but perhaps what Russia is already capable of today. We do not know exactly how far the Dagger can fly, but with its speed, the accuracy of the hit, and range of at least a thousand kilometers, it changes the balance of power in the region, “the author of the material notes.
The article notes that a likely target for hypersonic missiles may be Greenland in General and, in particular, the American airbase of Thule, which hosts the NATO radar warning of a missile attack.
In the fall of 2019, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the country continues to develop advanced weapons even after it created a unique hypersonic weapon. At the same time, according to the Russian leader, the task of the latest Russian weapons systems is only to ensure security in the face of growing threats.
