The United States considers its policy of tightening its approach to Beijing suitable for all its allies. This was stated on Tuesday at a press conference by US Secretary of state Michael Pompeo.
He was asked to comment on the view that the US confrontational approach towards China is largely unsuitable for Washington's allies, primarily in Europe. "No, it is absolutely suitable. This is not about choosing between America and China. It is a choice between freedom and democracy on the one hand and tyranny and authoritarian regime on the other," he said.
