Trump refused to host the G7 summit in his own golf resort

Under pressure from Democrat criticism, US President Donald Trump refused to use his Florida golf resort to host the G-7 Summit. To meet with the leaders of countries in June 2020, a more neutral platform will now be selected with the status of a state object, rather than private property.

According to Deutsche Welle, the American leader planned to invite guests to the Trump National Doral resort in Miami. The calculation was supposedly that to him, as the owner, the event would not bring “any profit” and would minimize the budgetary expenses of American taxpayers.

But representatives of the Democratic Party raised a wave of criticism in the media. Trump was forced to abandon his idea. The “hostility” of opponents forced to look for a “different platform.” Among other things, allegedly considered a suburban presidential residence in Camp David.

We add that the Trump National Doral resort covers an area of 800 hectares. There are 4 golf courses and a hotel with 643 rooms, tennis courts, a large pool, and ballrooms.
