The authorities of Iran and Iraq will discuss plans to increase bilateral trade to $20 billion. This was stated by the head of the chamber of Commerce of Iran and Iraq Yahya Al-Eshagh on the eve of the visit of the Prime Minister of Iraq to Tehran.
He noted that Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi will arrive in Iran on Tuesday. Al-Eshaqh named the amount of Iraq's debt to Iran 3 billion dollars for the import of electricity and energy.
According to him, Iran and Iraq have reached an agreement in this regard, and Iraq has gradually begun to pay its debt.
