Pregnant women will receive US visas under the new rules, according to briefing documents for state Department employees, January 23, the Associated Press reported.
The US State Department should officially announce this in the very near future. The new rules will have to take effect this Friday.
Under the new rules, if it is revealed that a pregnant woman intends to give birth in the United States, as the main purpose of a trip to Grad on the hill, then she will have to provide documents about medical care in the United States and guarantees of her financial ability to do so.
According to the Agency, 36,000 such women arrived in the US in 2012 alone.
Earlier, US President Donald Trump said that his administration can cancel the automatic granting of American citizenship to children born in the United States if their parents came to the country only for this purpose.
