The water level reached a critical level of 10.26 meters at the Nanjing hydrological station in the administrative center of Jiangsu province in Eastern China, on July 19, the regional water management Department reported, Xinhua News Agency reports.
The response to the rampant elements was the decision of the Department to raise the flood warning level to the highest — “red” — on the Nanjing section of the Yangtze River.
Recall that on July 19, the evacuation of 21.5 thousand people was completed due to heavy rains in Chongqing in southwestern China. According to the Xinhua News Agency, 11 people were killed as a result of the rampant disaster.
