The fire in the Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul in the city of Nantes in Western France is localized. This was announced on July 18 by the Director of the Department of fire and rescue services, Laurent Ferle on BFMTV.
104 firefighters are working on the site, and 45 fire engines are involved.
The Cathedral caught fire at about 7: 30 local time. The cause of the fire is still unknown. The city's Prosecutor, Pierre Sen, said it could have been a deliberate arson attack, France Bleu radio station reported.
