Pence and Giuliani refuse to cooperate with Congress

Congress postponed the vote for permission to impeach Trump, Pelosi said.

US Vice President Mike Pence and President Donald Trump's lawyer Rudolph Giuliani refused to cooperate with the US House of Representatives in the investigation of the impeachment case. This is reported by Reuters.

The Pentagon also said that they would not comply with the lawmakers' request for documents related to Trump's efforts to put pressure on Ukraine. All this once again demonstrates the Trump administration’s determination to slow down the impeachment investigation.

“Evidence of congressional obstruction continues to accumulate,” Congressman Adam Schiff, one of the initiators of the impeachment, said at a news conference.

According to Fox News, citing Speaker of the House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi, Congress postponed the vote for permission to impeach Trump.

“There are no requirements to vote immediately, so we won’t run it now,” Pelosi said.

At the same time, she emphasized that this is a “deadly important issue” for the Democrats, and they are not bluffing, but only trying to find the truth.

Earlier it was reported that in the US they are investigating the activities of Giuliani in Ukraine. US prosecutors are trying to establish whether Trump's lawyer tried to secure the resignation of the US ambassador to Ukraine, Marie Yovanovitch, who testified in Congress last week.

In turn, during testimony, Trump's former adviser to Russia and Europe, Fiona Hill, said that Giuliani conducted a “shadow” foreign policy in Ukraine, bypassing official procedures, for the personal benefit of the president.
