Spotify, Pinterest, and Tinder apps don't run on Apple gadgets. According to the Verge, the reason was the Facebook SDK software. It allows users not to register each time in a new app, but to log in via their social network profile.
On social media, users said that some apps don't launch at all open, or don't respond to commands.
The exact cause of the crashes is not yet known, but early reports suggest the fault of Facebook's iOS software. Owners of Android gadgets do not have such problems.
Facebook developers have admitted that it was their app that caused the massive crash.
“We know and are investigating the cause of many errors in the iOS SDK, which causes some apps to crash,” the report said.
However, this is not the first time this has happened in the past six months. Before that, a massive crash in apps occurred on May 6.
According to the developer, Facebook asks all app owners to integrate registration through themselves in order to share user data in response. As a result, every time the SDK issues occur, users, crash all the apps where they logged in via Facebook.
