In Venezuela, an oil refinery caught fire

Local media reported that the fire started in two docks after a series of explosions. Official authorities have not confirmed this information.

In the state of Falcon in the North-West of Venezuela, a strong fire started in the oil refining center of Paraguana. This, on Monday, July 6, reports Reuters.

Thick black smoke billowed up from the buildings for tens of meters. The video was taken by eyewitnesses.

The incident occurred at the plant's catalytic plant, state Governor Victor Clark said. It is noted that it belongs to the state oil company PDSVA, which produces gasoline — the largest in the country. According to Clark, the fire was localized, there were no injuries.

The fire did not damage infrastructure or disrupt the operation of the plant.
