Great Britain first imposed sanctions against Russia after Brexit

This was stated by British Foreign Minister Dominic Raab, reports The Guardian.

In addition to the Russian Federation, Saudi Arabia, Myanmar, and North Korea were included in the list.

Sanctions include a freeze on assets and a ban on travel by representatives of these countries to the UK.

It is noted that London for the first time after Brexit imposed sanctions.

“Those with blood on their hands ... will no longer be able to acquire property on King's Road, make Christmas purchases in the Knightsbridge area or launder dirty money in British banks,” Raab assured.

Earlier, the EU Council announced the decision to extend sanctions against the Russian Federation.

Recall that the EU extended sectoral sanctions against Russia for six months.
