According to Italian media reports, the famous Italian composer Ennio Morricone died on the night of 6 July in a clinic in Rome. Morricone died at the age of 91.

According to media reports, the musician was hospitalized after a fall, as a result of which Morricone was diagnosed with a fracture of the femur. But the doctors never managed to save the musician. According to the press, Morricone suffered severe pain shock and stress, and the body was unable to cope with the consequences of trauma.

The famous composer was born in 1928 in Rome. Morricone studied at the Conservatory of Santa Cecilia in Rome and received his diploma in three classes at once — trumpet, instrumentation, and composition.

He only began to write music for the cinema and make arrangements after 33 years. During his long career, he has written music for more than 400 films and TV series in Italy, Spain, France, Germany, Russia, and the USA.

As a film composer he was nominated for an Oscar six times, and in 2007 received an Oscar for outstanding contribution to cinema.

Recall that Ennio Morricone canceled all his concerts in May 2016 due to health problems.
