The police responded with water cannons and tear gas, and also made several arrests.

Recall that Italy has become one of the most affected countries in the world, since the start of the coronavirus epidemic in the country, more than 33,800 people have died and 234,000 have become infected. The country has already entered the final phase of easing coronavirus restrictions, allowing domestic travel between regions and opening borders.
