Vulnerability makes a USB cable a serious threat.
Jailbreak allows attackers to access the iPhone when the device is connected via a USB cable. Thus, USB chargers, for example, at airports and in hotels, are unsafe, experts say.
The vulnerability affects Apple devices released between 2011 and 2017 and covers eight generations of devices, from iPhone 4S to iPhone 8 and X.
It is noted that tens of millions of iPhones were in danger.
